In Eldest the main conflict is that eargon needs to finish his training and to do so he has to travel to a far off land but right when he gets back there is a plan that the varden are doing and its a terrible idea but Eargon can't do anything about it. The Varden are planing to attack the empire and there is absolutely no chance that they can win, but the biggest problem is that Eargon is suppose to fight king Glabatorix and there is no way that he can beat him.
I, personally have not read the Eragon series but my brother has and i have heard a few things he has said about it. First of all i like how you explain what the conflict is in the eyes of a narrator. But i think you need to explain with names more like when you say, "the biggest problem is that Eargon is suppose to fight king Glabatorix and there is no way that he can beat him." Good but who is he and him? Try saying like, "there is no way that Eragon can beat King Glabatorix." So the audience knows who is he and him. But overall i think you are reading a good series and have been keeping up well with the books, keep up the good work Vincie!!
